In
Its Final Year, The Dickson Performing Arts Center, Inc. Announces Increased
Funding to Community Arts Programs.

:
The
Dickson Performing Arts Center, Inc. board of directors has recently announced
a total of $36,000 in funding for nine community arts organizations through
the Dickson Community Funding Program. This was the 7th and will be the
final year for a program which has provided over $56,000 in support for
projects that encourage public participation in the performing arts in
Teller County.
Funding was recently awarded to: the Cresson Dance Company; Jr. Woodland
Players; Mountain Acoustic Music Association; Rampart Rock'n Jazz; Ute
Pass Family Theatre; Ute Pass Symphony Guild; Woodland Music Series; Woodland
Park Community Singers; and, the Woodland Park Wind Symphony. In addition,
the Dickson Community Funding Program has recently purchased a new Yamaha
P-140 Digital Piano and donated it to the City of Woodland Park for use
at the Ute Pass Cultural Center.
Monies for the Dickson Community Funding Program have accrued through
donations, investment of Dickson Performing Arts Center assets and revenues
from the annual Sounds of the Season Holiday Home Tour previously held
the first weekend in December. Additional funds were made available for
distribution in this the final year of the Dickson Community Funding Program
because the Dickson Performing Arts Center, Inc. will be dissolved on
June 30, 2008. It is hoped that the above performing arts organizations
will use these donated funds to provide for and enhance their community
programs for years to come.

a total of $5,000 in funding for nine community arts organizations through
the Dickson Community Funding Program.
Funding was recently awarded to: the Cresson Dance Company - $750
to support their Teller County 2007 Performance Dance Program; Jr. Woodland
Players - $650 to support the 2007 Kids Summer Theatre Camp; Mountain
Acoustic Music Association - $750 to support the 2007 MAMA Concert Series;
Rampart Rock’n Jazz – $200 to support the 2007 Children’s Summer Musical
Series; Ute Pass Family Theatre - $200 for general operating support;
Ute Pass Symphony Guild - $1,000 to support the 2007 Symphony Above the
Clouds; Woodland Music Series - $750 to support the 2007 Concert Series;
Woodland Park Community Singers - $200 for general operating support;
and, the Woodland Park Wind Symphony - $500 for general operating support.
Through
the Dickson Community Funding Program, performing arts organizations may
request up to $1,000 in support for programs or projects that encourage
public participation in the arts in
Teller County
. Monies for
the Dickson Community Funding Program have accrued through investment
of Dickson Performing Arts Center assets and revenues from our annual

The Community Funding Program will begin its next funding cycle

The Dickson
Performing
Arts Center
board of directors has announced the availability of funds for
Teller
County performing arts organizations through
the Dickson Community Funding Program. Applications are available to Teller
County 501(c)(3) performing arts organizations, schools or appropriate
local government entities. Applications must be returned by
March 31, 2007 . Performing arts organizations may request
up to $1,000 in support for programs or projects that encourage public
participation in the performing arts in
Teller County
. Monies for the Dickson Community Funding Program
have accrued through investment of Dickson Performing Arts Center assets,
donations and net income from the annual Holiday Home Tour.
The Dickson Performing Arts Center, Inc. was founded
in 1998 to support a variety of performing arts projects in
Teller County
, including facility expansions at Woodland
Park
High School and other publicly owned community performing
arts facilities in the
Woodland Park
area, and to provide these facilities and local organizations
with ongoing volunteer and monetary support. Over the past six years,
Dickson Performing Arts Center has provided over $15,000 in support to
Teller County performing arts organizations and projects through the Community
Funding Program, has provided over $11,000 in scholarships for Woodland
Park High School seniors through the Marta Dickson Scholarship Fund, and
has contributed over $180,000 to enhance performing arts facilities at
the new Woodland Park High School Dickson Auditorium.
